Allianz Global Assistance –
Allianz’s travel insurance business – has updated its proprietary mobile app to provide customers with a more intuitive and accessible experience.
The enhanced TravelSmart mobile app has a simpler user interface that “enables travellers to access their travel insurance details, claims status, flight status, and local emergency numbers,” a release said.
Improvements to the app allow users to quickly access their travel insurance policy and get help in case of emergency. Other features include an expanded global directory of medical facilities, police stations, and US Embassies, as well as expanded options to immediately get in touch with Allianz Global Assistance’s service team.

- File and track claims
- Real-time flight status tracking
- Assistance button
- Global emergency numbers from the home screen
- Contact us button
- Medication dictionary
- First aid terms translation
“Using our newly-updated TravelSmart app is a great way for travellers to feel safe, secure, and protected abroad and get the most out of their Allianz Travel Insurance policy,” said Allianz Partners USA chief marketing officer Joe Mason. “We’ve completely redesigned our award-winning app with new features that enable everyone to travel confidently and quickly and easily get access to the information and services they may need. TravelSmart is just one of many innovations we’re bringing to the market to serve the digital traveller now and in the future.”
While the TravelSmart is available to all travellers, Allianz Travel Insurance policyholders can log in with their account credentials to access a range of policy management and claims filing services.
