Allianz General Insurance Malaysia has launched its Road Rangers service as part of its revamped auto insurance claims system.

The Road Rangers are a first-response 20-person motorbike brigade that will assist policyholders that encounter a road emergency. They will provide drinking water and first aid, if necessary, as well as accompany the policyholder until the tow truck arrives. The group is currently servicing the Klang Valley area.

Aside from the Road Rangers, the new auto insurance claims system includes a 24-hour call center, 15 state-of-the-art tow trucks equipped with GPS and CCTV units, claims concierges based in major police stations, and transportation services to bring passengers home from the accident site.

Meanwhile, the computerized Motor ODX claims system, which was launched in September 2016, can automatically assess vehicle damage, shortening the claims process from three to five days to just under an hour.

“Our customers have always been our priority,” said Zakri Khir, CEO of Allianz Malaysia Bhd. “So, from the moment you make the accident call, we will be with you every step of the way – offering assistance in getting your vehicle to the police station, making your report, getting your vehicle to our authorized panel repairers and delivering it back to you.”
