Arch Insurance, an international firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney, has announced the addition of three leaders to its travel sales team, as it seeks to further build the business unit’s distribution strategy.

Cory Sobczyk and Dan Povondra have joined the North American arm as business development vice presidents, plus Lynn Barty as regional sales director. They have a combined four decades-worth of business development experience, and will work with the existing travel sales team.

Arch entered the travel insurance industry in 2012, through the establishment of Arch Insurance Solutions (AIS). The insurer said AIS has experienced “rapid growth” since then, given its breadth of solutions and commitment to quality and responsiveness for its travel partners.

Linda Fallon, senior vice president of travel, said the additions come at a time when the industry is seeing overall expansion and shifts in the competitive landscape. “Their decades of experience and demonstrated business development success will help to further strengthen our market position and that of our Arch Insurance Solutions and RoamRight brands,” Fallon said in a statement.

Sobczyk aims to drive growth in the firm’s target channels by leveraging the integrated platform of underwriting, claims administration, and customer service. “The Travel group’s impressive growth is a testament to their comprehensive product offering and superior customer service strategy,” Sobczyk said.
