Arthur J. Gallagher (AJG) has acquired Franklin-Case Agency, a property and casualty insurer based in Flemington, New Jersey.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Franklin-Case Agency offers its commercial and personal insurance services in New Jersey and New York. Its client base includes national transportation companies, entertainment promoters, large contractors, and main street operators, as well as personal home and auto policyholders.

Zacks.com commented that Franklin-Case Agency’s “in-depth expertise in risk management and transportation business will be highly accretive to [AJG’s] portfolio.”

Following the acquisition, Franklin-Case Agency will resettle in AJG’s Whippany office in New Jersey. The group will continue to operate under Daniel Tropp, AJG Mid-Atlantic retail property and casualty brokerage operations head.

This is AJG’s ninth acquisition in the ongoing quarter. Last quarter, the company closed nine acquisitions with annualised revenues of over US$30.3 million.
