Chubb Life names chief agent for Hong Kong

US-educated appointee to head firm’s agency channel, bringing more than 30 years’ industry experience

Chubb Life Insurance Company has appointed Raymond Ting as chief agency officer and executive committee member of its Hong Kong operations. He will report to Allan Lam, country president.
 
Ting will be in charge of the insurer’s agency channel and head the agent management team to recruit capable individuals for Chubb Life’s Hong Kong agency force.
 
With more than three decades’ experience in the life insurance sector, Ting is a proven veteran in managing agents for life insurance companies in Asia and the United States. Prior to joining Chubb, he was CEO of ACE Life Thailand from 2010. He was also managing director at MetLife in the US until 2006. While at MetLife, he trained numerous agents, several of which received GAMA International awards.
 
Ting was educated in the US with a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
 
Lam commented on the appointment: “[Ting’s] invaluable experience and excellent track record in agency management will be a great asset to our business in developing and driving the continual growth of our agency team. I am confident that Raymond will take our agency team to new heights, bringing tremendous success to our company.”
