Chubb makes two internal appointments for global posts

Chubb Limited has announced the appointment of John Thompson as division president, international accident & health. Currently, Thompson is chief underwriting officer, personal Insurance for Chubb Overseas General. Soledad Muné will succeed him in his vacated post.
 
Both appointments are effective immediately.
 
In Thompson’s new role, he will be in charge of Chubb’s international personal accident, supplemental health and travel insurance business in 51 countries. He will report to Juan Andrade, executive vice president, Chubb Group and president, overseas general insurance, and Ed Clancy, executive vice president, Chubb Group, global accident & health and life.

Muné will be responsible for developing the insurer’s international auto and residential insurance businesses. She will report to Darryl Page, vice president, Chubb Group and division president, personal insurance, overseas general insurance. Currently, she is vice president, international head of residential, personal insurance for Chubb Overseas General.

Prior to joining Chubb, Thompson was head of product development for auto and home insurance at The Hartford. He began his career as an economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Meanwhile, Muné worked at Travelers Insurance, holding several roles such as managing the company’s residential portfolios in the US.
