MetLIfe Asia’s advanced data analytics program was recognized by business and technology publication Enterprise Innovation during its annual Enterprise Innovation Awards. The insurer also bested numerous other companies in several industries to bag the “Innovator of the Year” prize.

The Center of Excellence for Data Analytics (COEDA) was established by MetLife in 2014 to harness big data in learning insights about customers, provide a holistic customer experience, and boost profitability. COEDA has continuously worked to scale up its advanced data analytics capability and adopt best practices from the insurance industry and beyond.

“MetLife is delighted to be recognized for advancing the use of data analytics in our industry to better serve the needs and aspirations of our customers in Asia and around the world,” said Ralph Brunner, chief marketing officer of MetLife Asia. “We are working hard to transform ‘big data’ into useful customer insights to create differentiated and personalized products, services, and customer experiences. We would like to thank the panel of judges and Enterprise Innovation for this recognition.”

The awards’ gala event was held at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore. The awards show acknowledge organizations in Asia that drive innovation through technology and best-practices business processes. Nominees were reviewed on six criteria such as business performance/revenue impact, cost savings, technological innovation, and others.
