RFIB makes key appointments for Southeast Asia

Firm appoints three veterans to form new marine cargo team for SEA market

RFIB Group Ltd, an international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Paul Leith-Smith, Giles Penfold and Will Hawkins to form a new marine cargo team for the Southeast Asian region.
 
The trio joins from Ed, and will report to Chris Bracegirdle, director, and Chris Tansley, managing director for marine. The team will assist the firm’s effort to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.
 
Leith-Smith is a veteran of over four decades, having served as director of marine at Ed, and was a founding partner at CRS (Cameron Richard and Smith). Penfold began his career at CRS in 1994, while Hawkins spent four years as a marine cargo broker at Ed.
 
Dennis Mahoney, CEO of RFIB commented on the appointments: “South East Asia represents a key growth area for RFIB and the marine cargo sector will be a key pillar in this expansion,” he said.
