Gavin Hill is now senior consultant to Willis Towers Watson’s risk consulting & software (RCS) business.

Joining the RCS team from the Bank of England, Hill was a senior technical specialist at the Prudential Regulatory Authority where he developed extensive expertise in the design, development, and implementation of complex actuarial solutions.

Hill has more than two decades of industry experience and has worked across a wide range of specialist actuarial disciplines. His areas of expertise include capital modelling under Solvency II as well as Pillar II model validation and reserving.

The London-based executive also held senior roles at Deloitte and Zurich, specialising in capital modelling, before moving to the Bank of England.

“The insurance landscape is evolving rapidly and I look forward to working with our clients to help them take control of their regulatory relationships and manage their risk and capital strategy in order to achieve profitable outcomes during these challenging times,” commented Hill.

Meanwhile, Willis Towers Watson’s managing director and UK property & casualty leader Tammy Richardson said she is delighted Hill is joining the team. She believes Hill’s considerable experience within the regulator and in model validation will be a major asset.
