The Pan-Asia Risk & Insurance Management Association (PARIMA), a not-for-profit professional association for the risk management sector, has exceeded 1,000 members, having grown at a rate of over 50% annually since its founding in 2013.

As of the first quarter of 2016, the association had 643 members, growing to 1,084 members in 41 countries. Singapore, the Philippines, and Hong Kong are the countries that have the most PARIMA members.

“PARIMA is establishing itself as the fastest growing platform for risk managers,” said Stacey Huang, the association’s executive director. “We continue to look for opportunities to bring the risk community together and maintain ourselves as a not for profit association created by risk managers for risk managers.”

“We are looking forward to seeing PARIMA reach our common goal to function as a key player in the industry and help cultivate the risk maturity and strengthen the standards and profession in Asia Pacific,” she added.

PARIMA’s members come from 643 companies from various industries, a quarter of which are from financial institutions. Other industries represented are: energy, utilities, services, transportation, and manufacturing.

On March 28, PARIMA will hold its next regional conference in Manila, Philippines.  Two more conferences are scheduled this year, with one in Shanghai in June and another in Singapore in November.
