Pacific Prime China, in cooperation with PICC Property & Casualty Insurance, has launched a new high-end home and contents solution in the Hong Kong and mainland China markets.

The new comprehensive product, called HomeGuardian Plus, gives property owners a flexible insurance solution customized specifically for residents of Hong Kong and mainland China.  The policy is underwritten by PICC, the largest property and casualty insurer in China. It is available online through Pacific Prime’s bilingual online application website.

Aside from the usual coverage for contents, burglary and robbery, and auxiliary buildings, policyholders also benefit from pet insurance worth up to RMB300,000  (US$43,540), as well as worldwide coverage for portable electronic devices up to RMB20,000 (US$2,900). It is available in three tier options, with optional coverage for home relocation cost, electronic appliance breakdown, and golf clubs and camping equipment.

Sylver Zhong, head of property & casualty at Pacific Prime China, revealed that the product is a collaborative effort between Pacific Prime, PICC, and IT service provider Ebao Tech.

“As a result, new and existing clients will benefit from customizable home and contents coverage, PICC’s strong capacity, financial ratings and claims service, and Pacific Prime China’s committed and highly regarded client servicing,” he added.
