Giant insurer AXA has teamed up with insurance technology specialist SSP to be part of the Polaris imarket live-chat service on SSP’s commercial e-trade platform.

AXA’s addition to the panel enables SSP’s brokers to have real-time quote discussions with the insurer’s digital underwriters within the platform for instant trading support.

SSP said the application removes the need to repeatedly key in client information – a time-saver which also reduces errors and omissions.

Ron Atkinson, distribution director at SSP, said the software provider is committed to serving the entire insurance market across both commercial lines and personal lines business.

“Figures from AXA show that 92% of brokers rate its live-chat as good or excellent, so by enhancing this engagement between insurers and brokers, our integrated web chat functionality will encourage brokers to make greater use of this channel, driving adoption of commercial e-trading,” noted Atkinson.

AXA is the second insurance company to go live with SSP’s integrated web chat functionality. Allianz Insurance was the first earlier this year, with others soon to follow suit.
