Chubb has announced the appointment of a new environmental risk underwriter for its Australian business.

Dean Osmond will take on the role and will work closely with brokers on environmental risk and environmental impairment liability solutions.

Osmond is an environmental consultant with more than a decade of experience in environmental site and risk assessment, environmental health and safety auditing and environmental planning.

“Having an experienced environmental consultant of Dean’s calibre join the Chubb team is excellent news for Australian brokers and our EIL clients,” John French, Chubb country president for Australia and New Zealand said.

“With increasing awareness of the need for environmental risk solutions and regulatory requirements that continue to evolve, Dean is well equipped to provide expert advice to brokers and their clients.”

Osmond holds a bachelor of science in environmental management from Deakin University and is a certified environmental management systems principal auditor.

Chubb is a global player in the environmental market. In Australia, it offers a suite of EIL policies including premises pollution liability, contractors pollution liability and TankSafe storage tank liability.
