Specialist construction underwriting agency MECON has announced a major competition to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

The firm will whisk one lucky broker and their guest to New York for a six night stay with $2,000 spending money. MECON will also give away a $250 gift voucher to a broker once a month until April, 2018.

Peta Ross, national marketing and admin manager of MECON said that the competition gives the business the chance to celebrate with the brokers who have helped the underwriting agency throughout its history.

“Since we opened our doors in 2003, we’ve always looked for ways to make sure our brokers’ clients get the best cover,” Ross told Insurance Business. “We do everything we can to give your clients the best experience possible: from calling you up if we find an exposure to risk in a client’s policy application, to taking care of your client’s claim in-house.”

The competition is open to any broker who uses the firm in either Australia or New Zealand. Brokers will be entered into the draw once they place a new policy or renewal with MECON and the policy is paid. Every time a broker places a policy, they will be given another entry, Ross confirmed.

The top prize includes two economy return airfares, airport transfers and dinner for two worth $500, alongside $2,000 spending money and six nights’ accommodation in a four star hotel in New York.

With 15 years’ experience under their belt, Ross noted that the business is not resting on its laurels and will continue to back brokers in the construction market.

“As we go forward, we’ll continue to expand our business, with more exciting products in development that will help us become a one stop insurance shop for anyone involved in the construction industry,” Ross continued.
