“After an exhaustive selection process that included many first class applicants from both the insurance and sports worlds, I am delighted that Simon is joining the company,” Chris Nash, managing director of Sportscover said of the appointment.

Allatson’s sporting background will enable Sportscover to work closer with clients, Nash continued, as his experience will boost the business.

Sportscover will look to continue its expansion overseas, and Allatson will be a driving force behind further expansion across the region.

Allatson begins in his new role on May 01.
