Swiss Re Corporate Solutions announces new CEO

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has announced a new CEO for its business in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Melanie Slack has been appointed to the role, effective immediately, and will relocate to Sydney from Hong Kong where she held the role of head of life and health products for Swiss Re Asia.

 

Slack joined Swiss Re Group in 2002 and has worked in a number of senior management positions for the firm in Asia, Europe and the US.

In her current role, Slack manages a large team across eight locations in Asia Pacific, including Australia.

 

“In her new role, Melanie will execute on Corporate Solutions’ local strategy, working with brokers to provide innovative insurance programmes for mid-sized corporate clients and large multinational corporations,” Fred Kleiterp, CEO Asia Pacific for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions said.

 

With over two decades’ worth of experience in the insurance industry, Slack said she is excited to take the reins of the local arm of the international firm and will look to “help clients build resilience through traditional and innovative risk transfer solutions.”

 

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions was founded in 2010 and has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
