Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has announced the appointment of a new senior underwriter for its Australia and New Zealand operations.
Giuseppe (Joe) Carone has been appointed to the position in the FinPro area of the business, effective June 05, and will report to Jeremy Scott-McKenzie, head of casualty and FinPro Australia and New Zealand.
Considered a cyber and professional indemnity expert in the Australian market, Carone has more than 17 years’ experience having commenced his career at
CGU as a commercial claims leader and working as an account manager at
Aon and Fenton Green and Co.
Currently, Carone is professional indemnity and cyber liability manager at
AIG.
Scott-McKenzie said that the addition of Carone to the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions business further strengthens the financial and professional liability offering of the firm.
“We see exciting potential to develop our business and he will work with the team to build our presence across Australia, providing leading and customised insurance solutions that help our clients manage their exposures,” Scott-McKenzie said.
