Weekend Update: Executive changes, 10,000 refunds and a major new office

Making news this week, one major Australian insurer announced a deal with the CEO of a key division of a big rival, a leading player will contact more than 10,000 customers to offer a refund and a new entrant announces further expansion.

IAG announced earlier this week that they have snapped up Mark Milliner, former CEO of Suncorp’s personal insurance division, and he will join the company as chief operating officer.

Also, Berkshire Hathaway revealed their latest office in Brisbane which will be opened following the company’s move into the marine liability space.

Finally, Westpac have been made to contact more than 10,600 customers following an ASIC surveillance campaign which saw customers charged unneeded premiums.
