Over the rest of the month, organizers of the Canadian International AutoShow and Allstate – the official insurance sponsor of the automotive show – will be promoting the #JustDrive pledge initiative. Participants will be encouraged to either sign the pledge wall at Allstate’s AutoShow booth or make an online pledge using the Twitter tag “#JustDrive” to show their commitment.

The initiative’s goal is to secure at least 4,000 new pledges over the month.

"It’s great to be back at the Canadian International AutoShow again this year as cars and insurance go hand-in-hand, but we are especially excited to be partnering with them on a Distracted Driving awareness initiative,” said Allstate Insurance Company of Canada vice-president of Allstate Brand Marcelo Regen.

"With distracted driving causing more collisions on Canadian roads than ever before, we’re fortunate to have this opportunity to connect with so many show goers to shed a light on this growing concern and discuss safe driving practices to help make our roads safer.”

"The AutoShow offers a great opportunity to connect with over 320,000 attendees and kick start the pledge campaign,” added AutoShow general manager Jason Campbell. “We’re proud to be working with Allstate Canada and to join their Just Drive Canada program to help combat distracted driving together."

According to a release, Allstate has other things planned for its booth at the event other than the pledge wall. The company’s insurance advisors will be present to entertain inquiries from consumers. Lucky show attendees also stand a chance to win a one-year lease on a Kia. For attendees with children, Allstate has a fun #AllstateSuperhero photo experience that is free of charge to enjoy.

The AutoShow event will also feature a co-branded Allstate Canada and Safety 1st Canada booth, where car seat safety information and seat installation demonstrations can be found.
