Aviva Canada announced yesterday the opening of votes for the 2016 Aviva Community Fund (ACF).

Over the past 18 days, Aviva has received more than 450 “incredible ideas for positive change in communities.” The company will now put these ideas to vote, with the top 30 idea submissions with the most votes (15 from each funding level comprised of five from each category) to be evaluated by a panel of judges. The finalists will be revealed on November 7, with the winner announced on December 6.

For this year, the voting mechanics have been improved. Voters can now cast a total of 18 votes all at once or at any time during the voting round, between October 11 and 28. Before this, voters could only choose one per day.

“We are thrilled to have the ACF competition continue helping great community-driven ideas come to life,” said Aviva Canada senior vice-president of customer & marketing Debora Hendrickson. “Each year, we continue to be amazed at the passion and drive that Canadians have for improving their communities.”

Canadians are encouraged to visit the ACF’s official website to cast their votes.
