Following its inclusion on Great Place to Work Institute Canada’s (GPTW) Best Workplaces list, Capri Insurance has issued a response to being featured.

The insurance company came in at 38th place on the 50 Best Workplaces Medium category, which ranked companies with 50-99 employees in Canada according to how conducive their workplaces are.

“Being recognized by Great Place to Work as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces is a reflection of the exceptional team we have here at Capri Insurance,” Capri Insurance president Tim Miller told KelownaNow. “Each and every one of our team members plays a role in contributing to our vibrant and collaborative culture.”

GPTW’s list was published on The Globe and Mail’s website yesterday. This is the seventh year Capri Insurance has been recognized for its ideal workplace conditions.

Confidential employee surveys and a review of each nominated organization’s culture and HR practices were the basis of the list’s results. Over 400 companies registered for the list, and more than 60,000 employees total participated in the survey.

GPTW produced a report that studied the trends that determine the quality of a workplace. The institute concluded that the top companies on the list provided a sense of ownership to their employees; the companies achieved this by providing roles where employees can develop their strengths and by making room for development in other areas.

“We’re incredibly proud to be included among the best workplaces in Canada,” Miller commented.
