As the insurance industry evolves, technology continues to be a driving force for change and advancement. Digitally innovative companies are the ones driving the industry forward and, as such, they’re the companies Keal wanted to get behind at the Insurance Business Awards.

Keal Technology, the Canadian provider of broker and commercial management systems, is this year sponsoring the Award for Digital Innovation for the second time.

“Digital innovation isn’t just the future of our industry. It is the present of our industry, the here and now,” said Laurent Nadeau, Keal VP of sales, marketing, and client solutions. “If we as a collective don’t recognize and celebrate change as it is taking place, we will be left behind.”

Nadeau said insurance needed tech to continue changing, to cater to the changing taste of the consuming public.

“As insurance evolves, consumers are increasingly asking for technological solutions that are intuitive, flexible, and ahead of the curve. Brokers, simultaneously, are always searching for ways to work more efficiently and cost-effectively,” he said.

“The right technological solution can strike two birds with one stone, ensuring that we meet consumers’ needs and that brokers can keep their operating costs to a minimum.”

Keal chose to sponsor the award to “show support” to the industry leaders in this arena, the digital innovators making sure their brokerages are staying ahead of the curve and championing tech-solutions.

“Year after year, Canadian brokers say that technology is their top concern. In a rapidly changing world, understanding technological innovation is imperative for brokers to succeed,” Nadeau said.

“We want to show our support for thought leaders in this field, and ensure that our brokers have all the tools they need to succeed.”
