Economical Insurance recently made a $12,000 donation to a Mount Forest-based hospital, to help the medical facility purchase a new centralized cardiac monitoring system (CCMS).

The insurer’s donation to North Wellington Health Care-Louise Marshall Hospital was made in association with a local brokerage, Coburn Insurance Brokers.

“We are inspired by the hospital’s commitment to providing exceptional patient care,” Economical Insurance chief distribution officer Tom Reikman said in a statement. “We are pleased to support the purchase of a new CCMS that will expand the hospital’s monitoring capability for a better patient experience.”

“At Louise Marshall Hospital, our CCMS is coming to the end of its service life,” stated The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation development officer Jane Ford. “The new system has extensive Wi-Fi capabilities so more patients are monitored from a central location. Caring corporate partners like Economical Insurance assure our rural hospital provides best patient care and we appreciate this generosity.”

“We value our relationship with Economical Insurance and are proud to be associated with their significant contribution to the Foundation,” commented Coburn Insurance Brokers president Scott Coburn. “Having represented Economical for more than 100 years, we know firsthand the difference their community giving program makes in communities all across Canada.”

“This is the second sizable donation Economical has made in association with Coburn Insurance to The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation,” added Coburn. “In December of 2014, they donated $12,000 in support of the hospital’s redevelopment of their Emergency Room and Ambulatory Care Clinic.”
