The fundraiser aims to raise a total amount of $100,000 in Halifax and $1,000,000 at events across Canada to support the unique sporting event this weekend.

Marathon of Sport is organized by motionball, a non-profit dedicated to helping donors, volunteers, and sponsors connect with the Special Olympics movement. Since its inception in 2002, motionball has donated more than $7,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. The organization currently hosts 24 annual events across 17 cities.
