Global insurer Hiscox has appointed Glenn Dorr as head of business development and broker relationships for North America within its London Market business.
Prior to joining Hiscox, Dorr managed cover holder and broker relationships for Lloyd’s USA’s Northeast region. He has also held business development roles at HCC Specialty, BISYS Specialty Markets and Aon Consulting.

In his new role, Dorr will help to drive expansion in Hiscox’s specialty lines. He will be based in Boston and work closely with the Hiscox underwriting teams on the surplus lines of business.
“Glenn is an excellent addition to our business development team,” said Paul Lawrence, Hiscox London Market’s chief underwriting officer. “His knowledge of the US cover holder distribution network and deep understanding of the big-ticket Lloyd’s insurance business make him the ideal person to help us achieve our 2018 business plan.”
