“Starr continues to expand its capabilities for many of our brokers and insureds, and we are pleased to announce our accident & health division,” said Starr Companies Canada chief agent and country executive Hano Pak. “We offer a leading edge approach that provides additional benefits where our differentiator is innovation and service for corporate and specialty clients such as employer groups, associations, schools, and non-profit organizations.”

“We are excited to expand into Canada with local talent and expertise to help develop and grow the local accident & health market,” added Starr Companies’ head of domestic accident & health Joyce Segall.

The new Accident & Health Division will be staffed by Dave Claughton and Jan Hughes – the new sales and underwriting manager, as well as product and operations manager of the division, respectively.
