Digital HR and group health insurance platform Rise People has announced that Brigitte Parent, a former senior vice-president of Group Benefits at Sun Life Financial Canada, has joined its advisory board.

“Having Brigitte on our advisory board will take Rise to new heights,” said Rise People CEO Faiz Abdulla. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to everything we are trying to accomplish in this rapidly, ever-changing domain. I am confident that her leadership will contribute to our mission to inspire, educate and equip people for health and financial wellness. Parent joined Sun Life in 1995, where she has built up her extensive experience as a senior leader for the company’s Canadian and global businesses. She was most recently SVP of Group Benefits, and she was also SVP of Individual Insurance and Wealth for Canada.

In addition, she was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by The Women’s Executive Network in 2015.
