Winners of AIG’s Rugby Picks score prediction game enjoyed the sought after prize of spending leisure time with a twist with four All Blacks stars on Friday morning.

The selected participants were divided into four groups led by Kieran Read, Jerome Kaino, TJ Perenara and Ben Smith respectively and locked in a room at Escapade with the objective of solving a mystery and emerging as the first team to escape.

To succeed entailed cooperation from all team members and the full use of combined observation and problem solving skills as well as street and technical savvy.

Fortunately all the groups managed to escape, and enjoyed the bonding that comes with success, with the opportunity to have their pictures taken and engage with the players.

The resounding feeling from participants was that the game was immensely enjoyable and challenging, leaving them exhilarated to be out of their comfort zones.

According to one participant, broker Tash Nordstrand from ILG, the event was a huge success as it was so “totally different” and the most fun she had ever experienced in a locked room.

Another participant, broker Sam Kerr from Seneca Group, said the event was “really good fun”.

He added that even though escape from the locked room was quite hard, the experience showed the importance of team work and how different skillsets and thought processes from various team members can make way for outstanding problem solving.
