Major insurer IAG’s latest brand campaign promotes a safer world to New Zealanders.

The TVC campaign features a young girl roller-skating through the streets avoiding potential hazards and danger thanks to her helpful neighbours.

A report from The Drum said it centres on the idea that by working together, AMI and its customers can make their world a safer place. This is supported by the brand’s safety initiatives, which include providing free helmets to cyclists and a partnership with New Zealand Red Cross among others.

“Most of us think of insurance as a safety net, the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff. But we’d like to think we can broaden that remit to help people be safer,” IAG customer value propositions general manager Alex Geale told The Drum. “Imagine if we did look out for each other just a little bit more. If the world was a safer place. Perhaps we could all enjoy a little more with fewer fears?”

The campaign was created by Colenso BBDO and was directed by Campbell Hooper of The Sweet Shop.
