Parent wants policy to be honoured after woman died fighting for Islamic extremists

Regardless of the legality behind entering Syria at the time she did, what were her reasons for going there if not to fight for extremists. Did she have family there, there is no mention of this but seems doubtful. She knew what she was going there to do and so did her husband. NO I do not agree that the policy should be paid out, however, if the documentation behind the policy and its underwriting is sound to exclude such eventualities then the insurer is correct not to pay, however if there is not then regardless of how we feel the policy legally has to pay out.
