Volvo Car Ireland has partnered with Creane and Creane Insurance Brokers to show that motorists are less likely to get into accidents when driving Volvo cars, and to eventually lower motor insurance premiums.

“We believe our customers should benefit not only from the peace of mind that comes with Volvo’s safety credentials but also financially, in the form of reduced insurance premiums,” said David Thomas, managing director of Volvo Car Ireland, as quoted in a report by The Irish Times.

According to the report, Creane and Creane Insurance Brokers will be responsible for capturing collision information and claims data to be used for analysis.

Thomas noted: “We have therefore partnered with Creane and Creane Insurance Brokers to offer our customers a complete product offering and start this data capture process which over time will demonstrate that Volvo cars are safer to drive.”

He said they have seen customers in other markets benefitting from reduced premiums resulting from driving a Volvo car.
