Broker Network has named the members of its new executive team following Towergate’s sale of its majority shareholding in the business group.

Newly appointed executive chairman Ian Clark will lead the governance of Broker Network. In his new role, Clark will also guide the network’s independent strategic direction while liaising fully with the shareholders.

“This is a strong team, with a diverse set of experiences and industry expertise who will work to accelerate our growth plans, add value to our members, drive operational rigor in all we do, and inspire our employees,” Clark said.

The team comprises the following individuals:

Ian Clark – executive chairman
Andy Fairchild – chief executive officer
Simon Drew – chief financial officer
Des O’Connor – chief commercial officer
Tim Rolfe – chief product and underwriting officer
Richard Pitt – chief network officer

On July 4, Towergate announced that it has completed the sale of a majority interest in Broker Network after receiving shareholders’ and regulatory approval.

Towergate sold the business to Highbridge Principal Strategies, which has been the majority owner of the insurance intermediary since February 2015.

According to earlier reports, Towergate would use the sale proceeds to beef up its investment programme. Broker Network, on the other hand, will get improved growth capabilities from the deal.
