Meanwhile, Helen Troman has been appointed to the new role of IT property and casualty underwriting manager for overseas general insurance. She will develop and expand the multi-line propositions for the IT industry segment while implementing Chubb’s underwriting strategy and guidelines.

“[Stapleton and Troman]” are ideally placed to lead our IT practice,” said Bill Puleo, head of custom industry solutions, overseas general insurance.

“The information technology industry’s importance has grown exponentially – and so have the unique challenges and risks companies in the sector are facing,” Puleo also said.

Stapleton will retain his present role of product head for cyber and technology errors and omissions, overseas general insurance. Troman will also keep her current position as head of Chubb’s cleantech unit.
