Chubb has promoted Tara Parchment from president of personal risk services for UK & Ireland to head of the European personal risk services division effective immediately.

London-based Parchment – who has been with Chubb for more than 20 years – will be responsible for the performance of the insurer’s high net worth personal lines business in the UK and Continental Europe.

Aside from her most recent role prior to the promotion, Parchment has held a number of positions at Chubb including UK & Ireland personal lines manager and European underwriting centre manager (personal lines).

“I am delighted that Tara has been appointed to this important and high-profile role for Chubb. Tara’s knowledge, experience, and understanding is unrivalled within the high net worth world, and she is quite rightly regarded with enormous respect by brokers, clients, and key figures in the insurance industry,” commented David Robinson, executive vice president, Europe and division president, UK & Ireland.

He continued: “Tara has been an integral part of Chubb’s growth in the high net worth market for more than two decades. She was a member of the original team which launched high net worth in the UK 20 years ago and has made a tremendous contribution to the enormous growth of this business.”

For Robinson, Parchment is “perfectly placed” to aid the further development of Chubb’s personal risk services. He said the new head will also ensure closer relationships with the insurer’s broker partners to create mutual growth opportunities.

Andrew Kendrick, regional president, Europe, described Parchment’s appointment as “richly deserved”. He said: “I am absolutely thrilled that she has taken this role and look forward to the continued growth and development of Chubb’s personal risk services.”
