Insurance service provider Davies Group has acquired loss adjuster and claims handler Core Claims to support the company’s growth ambitions.

Under the deal, Core Claims will become a specialist part of Davies Group’s casualty unit, which operates across the UK and Ireland.

Core Claims directors David Miles and Alan Hines will continue to lead the business, but they will now report to Lesley Johnson, Davies Casualty managing director.

“We're delighted to be joining Davies Group and to be part of its exciting growth plans,” Miles said.

“It is a growth-orientated business which puts its customers first and which will enable our business to go from strength to strength.”

Davies Group CEO Dan Saulter described Core Claims as a “successful, specialist and growing claims business that has a reputation for professionalism and quality.”

“I am pleased to welcome David, Alan and the team to Davies… We look forward to working together to deliver new services to our mutual clients,” Saulter said.

Based in Oxted, Core Claims has over 40 years of experience in claims handling, investigation and negotiation in the specialist casualty and motor markets. It has developed several specialist schemes including: equestrian, marquee, restaurants and clubs.

Meanwhile, Davies Group manages over 160,000 claims each year across Britain and Ireland. It serves insurance intermediaries, the Lloyd’s market, global and UK insurance companies and large self-insured businesses.
