A Lanarkshire-based insurance broker has become the first Scottish brokerage to join the Bluefin Network.

E G Murray Insurance Services, joined the network as a partner broker, it was announced yesterday.

The broker’s move is supported by the appointment of a new development manager, Craig Finnie, who joins from Blink Underwriting having previously worked for RSA.

“Choosing our first broker network to join was an important decision for our company,” Antony Murray, commercial insurance manager, commented.

Murray said the brokerage recently celebrated 40 years in business and is focused on growing as a local, trusted and professional broker.

He went on to say: “Bluefin Network impressed from the outset and took the time to really understand our ambitions to develop our business, processes and team. It’s early days, but so far they’ve given us confidence we’ll have a long and successful partnership.”

The Bluefin Network’s managing director David Hopwood said the network is proud to extend its service to its new partner broker.

“Working with ambitious brokers is what we are here for and we look forward to supporting Antony and his team to help maximise their considerable potential and push on to the next level,” Hopwood said.

Hopwood also welcomed Finnie to the team, adding that his “wealth of experience” would help the network support its latest broker partner.

“With his extensive local experience he will be an invaluable asset to us both as we continue to grow,” he said.
