A personal assistant at international insurance brokerage Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) faces a potential jail sentence after hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Lauren Gritz, 24, is accused of glassing a woman named Paige Wooding at Agenda Bar, in London, during a Friday night out in May.

According to an Evening Standard report, Wooding collapsed three times following the assault and needed medical treatment for the wound.

At Inner London Crown Court, Gritz, who works at the St Boltolph Street JLT office, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding with sentencing adjourned until October 25. However, Judge Nigel Seed warned Gritz that she could potentially face a prison sentence.

“This is a serious matter and the courts have to consider all sentencing options,” he is reported to have said.

“I am releasing you on bail but you must not read into that you will not receive a custodial sentence.”
Gritz has worked at JLT since February 2013 as the personal assistant to the senior moves manager.
