Leading insurance technology firm Origami Risk has appointed Neil Scotcher as client service and sales executive for the UK.

Based in London, Scotcher will be responsible for business development and strategic alliances and for providing innovative software solutions to address client requirements within the UK and Europe.

Origami Risk hired Scotcher amid the rising demand for the company’s services in the UK, according to executive director Aaron Shapiro.

“We are seeing an eruption of demand for Origami in the UK and across Europe rivalling the rapid growth that made us the industry leader in the US. We are thrilled to have Neil lead our client service and business development activities in the UK,” he said.

Scotcher has 18 years of insurance software experience, including 13 years of direct involvement with risk management information systems.

Previously, Scotcher served as client management head at Sungard Insurance. He also worked at Marsh’s business unit and technology platform as executive director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“Neil’s extensive work with insurance professionals throughout Europe, along with his hands-on experience specifically in risk and insurance software, will enable him to design and implement cost-effective solutions for clients that deliver superior results,” Shapiro said.
