A well-known name in the world of banking is making the switch over to insurance, after a swoop from LV=.

Andy Parsons, the longstanding life, pensions and investment director at Lloyds Banking Group, will make the switch to the mutual insurer on June 12 taking the role of group finance director. He will fill the shoes of Philip Moore who will stand down from the board after the company’s AGM on June 20.

“Some time ago Philip informed the board of his intention to step down during 2017 to pursue non-executive director opportunities. Following a thorough recruitment process I am pleased that we have found a very high calibre candidate in Andy Parsons to take over as group finance director,” said Richard Rowney, LV= Group chief executive.

“I’d also like to place on record my appreciation for the significant contribution Philip Moore has made to the Group over the last seven years in transforming our finance function and most recently managing the successful transition to the Solvency II regulatory environment. He leaves with our very best wishes for the future.”
