Lockton has had a bumper year in Scotland and has seen its Glasgow office hit double the revenue that it did in 2015 and setting a new record for the office. For the year to April 2016 the office passed £1 million in turnover.

The Glasgow office is part of a national LLP –the office's current client list includes  BDL Hotels, the UK’s largest hotel management company. Over the last year the office has grown to 14 staff from 10 the year before.

Kansas-based Lockton has 11 offices in the UK and is currently carrying out due diligence on P.L Ferrari and Co with the intention of expanding its marine business.

Gordon Duncan, Partner and head of corporate, Scotland for Lockton told the Herald Scotland: “The uplift in our results can be attributed almost entirely to our winning new clients, a number of which are high-profile Scottish companies which previously had long-term relationships with several of our competitors.
