Pen Underwriting is looking to boost the support it offers to brokers with a double swoop.

The company has picked up Andy Dodd and Duncan Green, both of whom will take on new roles at the firm. Dodd joins as schemes and deleted authority business development manager, while Green takes on the position of senior business development manager for the South West.

Dodd makes the switch from RSA where he was business development manager for the West and Wales, responsible for key broker accounts. He boasts more than 20 years’ industry experience that also included more than a decade at Hiscox, most recently as strategic account manager.

Duncan, meanwhile, has worked for the likes of Liberty Mutual and Aspen Risk Management – with the latter he was broker account manager for the South West and Wales. He has more than 15 years’ insurance industry experience and is seen as a key part of Pen’s strategic growth ambitions.

“It’s fantastic to be welcoming yet more seasoned insurance professionals to Pen as we look to further enhance our support of brokers, both regionally and in specialist areas,” said Simon Taylor, sales director at Pen Underwriting. “Andy and Duncan both bring a deep understanding of the UK broker market, which will be invaluable as we look to help brokers do more business and accelerate our own pace of organic growth.”
