Home insurance MGA Plum Underwriting has today enhanced its portfolio of insurance covers for brokers.

The company has launched Plum Private Clients, a dedicated division that features two improved worldwide all risks products in an effort to expand on its existing coverage and increase limits. Its two products are: Premier, designed for high net worth buildings and contents risks; and Amethyst, which has been set up for mid net worth risks. The two products will sit alongside the firm’s existing specialist household cover available through its online portal.

The launch of the private client division marks the full integration of Synergy Insurance Services, a specialist HNW MGA which Plum acquired in February 2016. The new division is led by Emma Bennett, head of private clients, who joined following the Synergy acquisition, and Niall Madders, head of private clients underwriting.

Speaking about the launch, David Whitaker, Plum’s managing director, outlined how the expanded and experienced team had prompted to the introduction of this enhanced product range.

“The launch of Plum Private Clients marks an important milestone in our development,” he said. “Plum now offers market-leading HNW and MNW products alongside our existing specialist household product range. The integration of the Synergy HNW business has paved the way for Plum to lead the specialist household insurance market.”
