Multinational insurer RSA has named Pete Emery as its new retail brands director following the move of Rob Flynn to subsidiary More Th>n.

In his new role, Emery will oversee all of RSA’s affinity partnerships including those with Tesco Bank, Argos, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. He will also be responsible for all the national and Northern Ireland personal lines broker business.

Emery will report directly to personal intermediated managing director Mark Allan.

“I am delighted that Pete is stepping up into this role as he will bring a number of things to the role; an outstanding commercial mindset combined with an authentic leadership style and a vast knowledge of the retail sector,” Allan said.

Emery joined RSA in 2010 and was previously the strategic partnerships manager and key account manager.

Before moving to RSA, Emery worked at AXA as corporate partnerships relationship manager and area development manager.

He succeeds Flynn, who took up the role of managing director at More Th>n in August.
