RSA names new group pricing director

Latest recruit poised to play key role in boosting insurer’s business growth

Ernst and Young executive Richard Read has joined RSA as its new group pricing director, the British insurance giant has announced.
 
Starting in his new role in November, Read will lead the development and implementation of pricing and underwriting strategy across RSA.
 
“I’m excited to be joining RSA and am looking forward to playing a role in growing a successful business even further,” Read said of his appointment.
 
Read will report to Nathan Williams, the insurer’s group underwriting director.
 
“We work tirelessly to deliver best in class products and services for all our customers,” Williams said. “Richard’s experience in pricing and product analytics will deepen our pricing sophistication and underwriting capability going forward.”
 
“His understanding of the direct, affinity and broker distribution channels will be also be invaluable,” he added.
 
Read has more than 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, consulting in pricing and products. He has also worked across direct, affinity and broker distribution channels.
 
He joins from Ernst and Young, where he led the pricing and product insurance analytics offering.
