He’s one of the most high-profile names in the insurance sector – but Saga chairman Andrew Goodsell is about to walk away.

It was revealed this morning in a Reuters report that the long-time leader of the travel and insurance service provider will retire in 2018 following a tenure with the firm that has lasted 26 years.

At this point, only brief details of the chairman’s decisions are available – but the company, which offers singles holidays, escorted tours and cruises alongside its insurance output, has stated that the process to find a successor for Goodsell will begin in the near future.

According to the insurer an official handover should be complete by the end of May, 2018.
