Barbican Insurance Group has recruited Charlotte Pritchard as a terrorism underwriter within the firm’s malicious acts division.

With her appointment taking effect immediately, Pritchard will report to malicious acts division underwriting manager Jessica Johnson.

“I am excited to have joined Barbican,” Pritchard said. “They have a well-deserved reputation for proactive and responsive underwriting and I am very much looking forward to working with my colleagues to help grow the terrorism book.”

Pritchard most recently worked at Sompo Canopius as a political violence and terrorism assistant underwriter. She began her career in the industry at Brit Insurance in 2006 and later joined Canopius Managing Agents.

“With Charlotte’s appointment, we are bringing on board a proven innovator – someone who has not only established her underwriting credentials in the global terrorism arena, but has also helped develop new tools and capabilities to expand the coverage remit,” Johnson said.
