Tasker Insurance Group has appointed Robert Organ as chief executive to replace founder and current CEO Paul Tasker.

Organ, who was Bluefin Insurance Group chief executive, will be coming on board on September 04. His appointment follows that of Jeff Herdman as chairman last year.

“We are delighted to be able to announce Rob’s appointment, it is a very positive reflection of the business’ desire to continue to develop and grow,” commented Herdman.

He continued: “We thank Paul for all that he has done since he started the business. He leaves behind a highly capable team who, with Rob’s leadership, will go from strength to strength.”

Tasker, who started the Lloyd’s broker Tasker & Partners in 1999, will remain a stakeholder in the business. He has decided to leave Tasker Insurance Group to pursue other opportunities.
