Paul Pancham, claims director at Tesco Underwriting Ltd, is joining the board of Activate Group Limited (AGL) as non-executive director.

A specialist in integrated supply chain solutions, Pancham will support the insurer solutions provider on new projects and fundraising, as well as mentoring senior management. He will provide the company – which is also involved in fleet and risk management – with specialist knowledge, skills, and assistance.

The new board member has been responsible for multi-billion insurance claims spend across multiple products in both personal and commercial lines. He has worked for the likes of Jaguar Landrover, BMW, and Norwich Union/Aviva plc, and served as chief executive at accident repair firm DWS.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul Pancham to AGL,” said AGL chairman Mark Wilcox. “He is a highly effective business leader with a proven track record of developing industry-leading solutions across the insurance and customer service sectors.”

Wilcox added: “We believe his joining our board is an endorsement of our business model and we look forward to working with and learning from him.”

Pancham, for his part, is keen on working with the business as it grows and matures. “This is a company where the board and management are willing to deliver the kind of business transformation that customers and investors need,” he commented.

“By integrating multiple, complementary company assets AGL can create value and profitable growth over the long term,” said the non-executive director.
