Industry veterans Richard Loader and Richard Frost have been snapped up by D L Dale & Others, Syndicate 2525.

Appointed as senior class underwriters at the specialist employers’ and third-party liability Lloyd’s insurer, the two are joining from Aspen Insurance effective immediately. Loader brings with him 25 years of underwriting and broking experience, while Frost has about 15 years of industry experience to his name.  

At Aspen, Loader was in charge of underwriting all aspects of the business’s casualty division. He started his career in insurance as a casualty underwriter for G E Lloyd-Roberts, Syndicate 55. Frost, who began his insurance career working for Lloyd’s, served as head of liability at Aspen and was responsible for the UK and Irish accounts.  

“Both appointments are a perfect fit for our business,” said active underwriter David Dale. “They will provide additional stability and strength to our underwriting team as we push forward with our growth aspirations for the UK and Irish liability markets. Their specialist expertise and experience will significantly enhance our underwriting proposition, and I am pleased to welcome them to the team.”

Managed by Asta Managing Agency, Syndicate 2525 underwrites employers’ and all aspects of liability business, including offshore and construction risks. It has a £65 million stamp capacity for 2018.
