Willis Towers Watson has recruited Ashwin Belur and Dhiran Dookhi to further strengthen its insurance investment solutions group.

The major broker has added the two investment industry experts to its team to meet growing demand for broad investment services from a range of institutional investors globally.

The latest hires follow the similar senior appointments of Bob Tyley, Tim Mitchell and Ed Wilson, the company said.

“Ashwin and Dhiran join us at an exciting stage in the development of our investment advisory and solutions business for insurers,” said Keith Goodby, head of the insurance investment solutions group.

“We face unprecedented global demand from insurance companies aiming to maximise risk-adjusted returns through better governance, improved risk management and portfolio solutions,” he added.

With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Belur has held various senior investment and insurance-related positions at Goldman Sachs, ABN AMRO, Brit Insurance and, most recently, BlackRock.

A fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Dookhi was recently a risk actuary at Prudential working on enterprise risk management. He gained broad insurance and investment experience at The Phoenix Group, Sun Life Financial of Canada and the Pension Protection Fund.
